      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Initiate, coordinate, and maintain credentialing and privileging functions for medical staff members
      - Process applications, status changes, and additional privileges in a timely manner
      - Maintain an accurate database of privileged practitioners while upholding confidentiality
      - Provide regional support to medical staff organization activities under leadership guidance
      - Ensure the integrity of the credentialing process and adherence to relevant policies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate's degree in a healthcare-associated field or equivalent education/experience
      - Minimum of 2 years of progressive administrative or office management experience
      - At least 2 years of related experience in medical staff services/credentialing or a healthcare facility
      - Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations
      - Availability to work full-time, Monday-Friday, during designated hours in the Alaska time zone

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-associated field or equivalent education/experience
      - Certification as a CPCS-Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist and/or CPMSM-Certified Professional Medical Services Management (to be obtained within 4 years of hire)
      - Experience in a medical setting with familiarity in medical terminology
