What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Organize and direct a comprehensive credentialing program to ensure compliance with regulatory organizations
- Maintain accuracy in the credentialing database and manage related records and reports
- Oversee the completion of the credentialing process for medical and advanced practice staff
- Coordinate and monitor the credentialing and re-credentialing processes, including evaluations and analyses
- Support the Credentials Committee by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and escalating issues as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in Managed Care or Medical Staff Credentialing/Privileging
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Medical Staff/Managed Care credentialing office
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Certification by NAMSS (CPMSM or CPCS) strongly preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on credentialing and privileging processes
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, NCQA, and AAAHC accreditation standards
- Proven leadership skills and ability to coordinate inter-department activities
