What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle daily member telephone calls, directing them to appropriate services and educating them on available options
- Problem-solve member inquiries and create linkages to the Medical Management Department for service authorization
- Assist providers with eligibility, benefits, and resolution of claims issues
- Ensure high-quality service delivery to all members of the Medicare population
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service-related role with direct contact with customers via telephone, email, chat, and/or face-to-face
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One (1) year experience in a physician healthcare office environment or high-volume call center
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions
