What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and analyze Medicare payment policies and regulatory changes
- Prepare and deliver new files and updates to customers
- Correspond with CMS or other payers to clarify policy ambiguities
- Lead QA and analyses of data to ensure accuracy
- Implement solutions to help healthcare providers comply with regulations and receive proper payment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in healthcare
- Four (4) years of experience in healthcare in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Registered Nurse (RN) or master's degree
- Experience in health information systems or medical billing
- Strong computer & data analysis skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting, using, or implementing an HIS system
- Understanding of medical terminology, procedures & diagnoses
- Knowledge of medical insurance payment policies or processes
- Strong organization skills; ability to meet frequent short-term deadlines
- Analytic thinking, problem-solving & attention to detail
