What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate, prepare, and submit Medicare Set-Aside allocations in compliance with CMS guidelines
- Review and edit medical records and billing statements to develop accurate MSA allocations
- Analyze and apply CMS guidelines and state regulations related to Medicare Secondary Payer compliance
- Communicate with claims professionals and legal teams to gather necessary data for case resolution
- Stay updated on CMS policy changes and industry trends to maintain compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation, liability claims, or Medicare compliance
- Strong knowledge of the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and CMS MSA guidelines
- Proficiency in medical terminology and interpreting medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Medicare Set-Aside Consultant (CMSP, MSCC, or equivalent certification)
- Experience with CMS submission processes and conditional payment resolutions
- Background in nursing, medical coding, or legal support is a plus
