What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish and enforce metadata standards and data element definitions for enterprise data systems
- Design and implement governance rules including metadata creation, review, and approval processes
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for metadata quality and compliance
- Produce formal governance documentation for metadata stewardship and lifecycle management
- Support federated governance pilot activities, including policy execution testing and role clarity assessment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience as a database administrator
- 3+ years of experience working with enterprise data across multiple databases
- Knowledge of Federal compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in developing KPIs and performance measurement frameworks
- BA in information technology, computer science, data science, or health information management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 7+ years of experience as a database administrator
- Experience crafting data policies and procedures at the enterprise level
- Knowledge of Data Management Association (DAMA) Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK)
- Current database certifications (such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle SQL)
- Active DoD High-Risk Public Trust designation or security clearance
