      Basic Job Functions:

      The main functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provide support and develop tools/resources for the Sales team Provide product technical support to customers including (1) review of inquiries and/or specifications to determine mill’s capability to provide the requested material, (2) communication of product attributes and performance expectations (3) resolution of complaints and claims Be the voice of the customer, providing feedback and insights to Nucor teammates on the needs of the customer Champion improvements to our processes, our quality and our cost performance throughout the mill Assist in the development of new products for customers, or systems/programs that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our operation Conduct mill tours for visiting groups, explaining our processes and Nucor culture Assist with corrective actions and other Quality Management System initiatives Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      1. B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science or similar work experience
      2. Willingness to travel extensively.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      1. Thorough knowledge and understanding of mill processes
      2. Flat roll product experience, including knowledge of product specifications and applications
      3. Knowledge of MIPS, Business Objects, Level 2 and other internal systems that are typically used to gather
      and analyze production data.
