  Your Role :
  Tetra Tech's High Performance Building division is currently seeking a full-time Mid Level Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working on challenging projects of various construction types in a wide range of industry sectors. The successful candidate will work with other Tetra Tech team members in the delivery of company project initiatives related to structural engineering. The ideal candidate enjoys working as a team player in a flexible environment and seeing work followed through during onsite visits. Your contributions will include.
  • Support the structural design and analysis of facilities projects under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Lead portions of design work and contribute to multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform field investigations and assist in writing condition assessment reports.
  • Coordinate with architects, other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate drafting efforts as needed.
  • Model structural systems in Revit and assist with BIM coordination.
  • Design in compliance with local and state codes, and support adherence to Federal UFC guidelines.
  • Use structural engineering software such as RISA to perform analysis and design tasks.
  • Assist in managing project schedules and deliverables to help ensure on-time completion.
  Required Qualifications :
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college / university.
  • 4+ years of industry experience as a Structural Engineer.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; must be eligible to sit for the PE exam within 12 months.
  • Knowledgeable in the design of structural steel, composite deck, reinforced concrete and masonry.
  • Experience working with structural engineering design software such as Revit, Risa3D, SAP2000 and Blue Beam.
  • Experience in federal project consulting and familiarity with federal regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • A valid driver’s license, and ability to travel to client offices and project sites when required.
  This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $120,000 - $160,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal parity.   Preferred Qualifications :
  • Master's Degree
  • LEEP AP Certification is a plus
  • Experience and / or interest in sustainable design desired.
