What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the implementation of middle tier technologies on Windows and Linux servers, including web/application servers and container management technologies
- Schedule and deploy middle tier services, patches, or service pack releases using automation tools or manually as required
- Build, upgrade, and configure middle tier services with documented security settings
- Perform testing of software installations or updates following the USPS Program Team's approval
- Monitor, mitigate, and remediate vulnerabilities using system management tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in middle tier administration or server management
- Degree from an accredited College/University in a relevant field is preferred
- Proficiency in using various technologies such as Apache Tomcat, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms
- Experience with system management tools and automation technologies
- Strong skills in project planning and reporting using Microsoft Office suite tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with IBM MQ, Kafka, Zookeeper, and other messaging technologies
- Experience with scripting languages such as JYTHON and PowerShell
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Zabbix, and SolarWinds
