What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Screen potential milk donors and provide information about the donation process
- Maintain timely communication with active donors, including weekly check-ins
- Offer bereavement counseling to mothers who have experienced loss
- Provide guidance on safe milk expression and storage, and supply necessary materials
- Assist with regional milk depot management and ensure compliance with HMBANA documents
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Medicine, or related field, or equivalent college education plus 4 years of healthcare experience
- Certified Lactation Counselor certification within 12 months of hire
- Ability to maintain professional and confidential communication with donors and stakeholders
- Experience in record-keeping and data collection for research projects
- Food handler certification and training in milk processing techniques
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in donor screening or lactation consulting
- Familiarity with HMBANA requirements and standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
