      Our team in Southgate currently has an opening for a Mixer Operator

      YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Prior to loading and unloading product, review all paperwork to ensure that the product being loaded or unloaded matches the documentation.
      • Inspect all containers inside and out prior to filling.
      • Inspect all hoses, connections and valves prior to and during filling.
      • Inspect all bungs and gaskets daily and replace as needed to ensure safe conditions.
      • Inspect all tank trucks prior to loading and unloading.
      • Obtain laboratory approval for all raw materials delivered to the plant prior to blending product.
      • Review production batch slips to ensure that the correct raw materials are used and order of addition is followed per
      • Standard Operating Procedures for Material Handling.
      • Load and unload outbound/inbound tankers to and from storage tank.
      • Railcar unloading
      • Yard dog/trailer hostler
      • Properly mark, label and fill gallons, pails, carboys, drums and totes in accordance with Brenntag’s Standard Operating Procedures.
      • Return all unused raw materials to the appropriate storage area. Record any difference in quantity on the container.
      • in storage tank levels daily.
      • Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the facility
      • Observe, follow and enforce all Brenntag Policies and Procedures.
      • Attend all required training when scheduled unless absent from work.
      • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

      YOUR PROFILE

      Education and Experience:

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently. Forklift certification required.
      • Possess knowledge to operate scales, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps.
      • Must meet PFT requirements to wear a respirator. Cannot have any facial hair that may interfere with a respirator.
      • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
      • Ability to ready, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
      • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
