In this hybrid technical-strategic role, you'll lead the development and evolution of our SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose toolkits that power mobile applications throughout the organization.

As Mobile Lead, you'll combine hands-on development expertise with product management acumen, driving both the technical excellence and strategic direction of our mobile design system components. You'll be the key liaison between our design systems team, mobile development community, and business units, ensuring our toolkits meet real-world needs while maintaining consistency and quality.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with mobile developers across the organization to implement, expand, and optimize toolkit components
      • Ensure toolkit performance, accessibility, and platform-specific guideline compliance

      Product Management & Strategy

      • Define roadmap and priorities for mobile toolkit development based on business unit needs and industry trends
      • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable development tasks
      • Manage toolkit versioning, releases, and documentation to support seamless adoption
      • Monitor toolkit usage and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

      Cross-functional Collaboration

      • Partner closely with visual designers to ensure design-to-code fidelity and seamless handoff processes
      • Coordinate with other toolkit developers (web, desktop) to maintain consistency across platforms
      • Serve as primary point of contact for business units implementing mobile design system components
      • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across mobile development teams

      Team Leadership & Communication

      • Mentor and guide mobile developers in design system implementation and best practices
      • Present toolkit updates, roadmaps, and technical decisions to stakeholders and leadership
      • Foster a collaborative culture between design systems team and mobile development community

      Required Qualifications

      • 8+ years of mobile development experience with demonstrated expertise in both iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) development
      • Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems for mobile platforms
      • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, and platform-specific design guidelines
      • Experience with product management fundamentals including roadmap planning, stakeholder management, and requirements gathering
      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
      • Leadership experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience with design systems at scale in large organizations
      • Background in enterprise mobile application development
      • Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch) and design-to-development workflows
      • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and automated testing for mobile component libraries
      • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks
      • Understanding of healthcare or regulated industry mobile development requirements
