What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct independent reviews and validations of select models used in the organization, focusing on risk assessment and compliance with regulations
- Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of audit points and regulatory issues
- Plan, organize, and produce results in day-to-day model validation activities
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders/vendors to manage Model Risk and maximize shareholder return
- Complete other related duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Engineering, Econometrics, or a science-based discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in model development or validation, with a combined minimum of 5 years of higher education and relevant work experience
- Technical knowledge of advanced software packages used in analytics
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as SR 11-07
- Proven track record of successful model validation projects
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction
