What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide specialized academic instruction (SAI) for students with disabilities
- Manage a caseload of students, including scheduling and conducting IEP meetings
- Instruct students online through the Class Connect Program
- Communicate regularly with students and families via video conference, phone calls, and email
- Attend periodic in-person meetings and trainings throughout the school year
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Permanent California residence (must currently reside in Monterey County)
- Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe Disabilities
- California English Learner Authorization issued by CTC
- All applicants must meet credential requirements at the time of applying
- Required documents include a credential copy, English Learner Authorization documentation, letter of introduction, and updated resume
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with online teaching platforms and technology integration in the classroom
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in an educational setting
- Background in case management for students with disabilities
- Familiarity with California state testing requirements
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
