What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process mortgage loan requests accurately and in a timely manner, acting as a liaison between customers and mortgage loan originators
- Compile, prepare, and manage mortgage loan files from application through to closing
- Ensure compliance with bank, regulatory, and investor guidelines as well as customer service standards
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of job-related experience in mortgage loan processing
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of loan processing, closing policies, and credit policies, including automated underwriting systems
- Experience with various loan types such as FHA, VA, Jumbo, Portfolio, and DPA
