POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides support to top producing loan originators. Assists with the origination and processing of mortgage loan applications and documentation to facilitate mortgage loan approvals from Central Bank. Ensures that initial packages meet quality standards for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Follows, and is compliant with, regulatory requirements, corporate guidelines, credit policy and all Federal and State Lending Regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist borrowers with completing their loan applications, either by walking them through Blend or completing them over the phone. • Pull credit and conduct an initial file review when the Loan Officer is unavailable or needs support. • Follow up with borrowers to collect any additional information needed for pre-approval. • Send updated pre-qualification/pre-approval letters as requested.
Once a complete application is received, prepare the loan disclosures and send them to the borrower electronically or through the mail. • Enter contract details into Encompass and complete the required fields to move the file to the Review outstanding documentation and update the list of items needed from the borrower for submission to Processing/Underwriting. • If preferred by the Loan Officer, reach out to borrowers to request required documents.
Once the file is reviewed by Underwriting, follow up with borrowers and realtors for any additional documentation needed. • Send thank-you notes to clients after loan closing.
Schedule and post content on social media using Hootsuite. • Create marketing flyers using Total Expert. • Set up automated marketing emails in Total Expert for both borrowers and referral partners. • Promote teamwork within the department and other departments. • Ensure high production levels and quality customer service by answering questions in a timely manner. • Identify problems and develop procedures to resolve or correct the situation; monitor and measure the results.
Provide excellent customer service and solve customer related problems quickly with strong verbal and written communication skills • Possess solid organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under pressure of deadline and time restraints • Desire and ability to train for other various positions within the mortgage division. • Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

Qualifications
Requires a minimum of high school education. Ability and desire to learn is required. Extensive knowledge of mortgage loan documentation and regulatory compliance issues is preferred. Three to five years of mortgage related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, HMDA, FHA, VA and sub-prime lending guidelines Excellent communication and customer service skills are required. Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in administrative and customer issues, problem solving skills, decision-making skills, extensive knowledge of the loan process, technical know-how and excellent computer skills.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, see and hear. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. Regularly required to drive. Frequently lifts and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision.
