What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform critical analysis of data related to the Master Patient Index
- Review, maintain, and reconcile critical data to prevent duplicate assignments
- Analyze data for reporting purposes to assess trends
- Provide support for Release of Information, Deficiency Analysis, and HIM Operations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, TJC, Title 22, and organizational policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR Bachelor's degree in a related area plus two (2) years of related experience/training
- Thorough working knowledge of business intelligence functions and analytics
- American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)/RHIT/RHIA certification or enrollment within six (6) months of hire
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Up to two (2) years or more of health information management experience/training
- At least two (2) years of related hospital health information management experience, education/training
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Epic Identity certification
- Chart review and abstraction experience
