    • Assumes responsibility for music instruction in an individual, small group and classroom situation

    • Creates an environment that is conducive to learning

    • Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives

    • Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required

    • Develops reasonable rules of classroom behaviors and procedures

    • Maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner

    • Serves as an music resource person to classroom teachers

    • Plans a program of study that meets the students’ needs and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of building administrator

    • Participates in appropriate staff development

    • Assists in procuring community/business partnerships

    • Counsels with colleagues, students and/or parents on a regular basis

    • Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct

    • Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations

    • Accepts a share of responsibility for co-curricular activities as assigned

    • Reports to and carries out any other responsibilities as assigned by the building administrator

      Qualifications: Candidates must hold an appropriate, valid license; understand/utilize technology as a tool for teaching and learning; pass required background checks; pass pre-employment drug testing.

      Pay per the negotiated contract.
