Until filled Assumes responsibility for music instruction in an individual, small group and classroom situation
Creates an environment that is conducive to learning
Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives
Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required
Develops reasonable rules of classroom behaviors and procedures
Maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
Serves as an music resource person to classroom teachers
Plans a program of study that meets the students’ needs and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of building administrator
Participates in appropriate staff development
Assists in procuring community/business partnerships
Counsels with colleagues, students and/or parents on a regular basis
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct
Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations
Accepts a share of responsibility for co-curricular activities as assigned
Reports to and carries out any other responsibilities as assigned by the building administrator

Qualifications: Candidates must hold an appropriate, valid license; understand/utilize technology as a tool for teaching and learning; pass required background checks; pass pre-employment drug testing.Responsibilities
