      The department “E-3 Sustainment Engineering” at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a

      NATO AWACS Maintainability and Publication Engineer (d/f/m)

      We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to work in the interdisciplinary field of NATO AWACS E-3A.

      We are a small international Team within the Customer Support Organization located in Manching, close to the maintenance shop floor. We are responsible for the sustainment, reliability as well as for the engineering support of the NATO E-3A aircraft.

      Our main goal is to have a safe and reliable NATO AWACS fleet by supporting our customers’ needs.

      Your tasks and responsibilities

      • Act as the Focal Point for IT and Publication Management, including Export Control Compliance within the ESEC Team

      • Act as Administrator for the ESEC DB´s like ESEC Activity Tracking, Maintenance History Findings

      • Act as Administrator for the ELO Documentation Management System, including Process definition and workflows

      • Prepare draft ECPs, inputs to TCTOs, AFTOs etc. for the NAEW & C Force Fleet

      • Establish and maintain records of repair and replacement histories

      • Establish and maintain data exchange links with the Main Operating Base (MOB), primarily for maintenance/defect data by using the Program Integrated Logistic System (PILS) and/or DFR/ASIP

      • Participate in the revision and restructuring of the current NE-3A maintenance program and publications with the PDM

      • Focal point for documentation of the ESEC Team

      • Preparation of contractual deliveries and reports

      • Act as the EXPORT focal point for the ESEC Team

      • Regular travel will occur (once a month)

      The area of responsibility will be Documentation, IT and Reliability for the NE-3A fleet. If your application will be successful you will join us - the “European Sustainment Engineering Team”.

      Desired skills and qualifications

      • University degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar, or a technical vocational education with several years of experience within a Maintenance Organization as an experienced Mechanic

      • Several years of experience in engineering and/or MRO with commercial or military aircraft know-how, such as NE-3A, JSTAR, P8

      • Experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning and Scheduling

      • Strong database knowledge (SQL, MS Access)

      • Good knowledge in Export Classifications, like International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

      • Good knowledge in Documentation Management Systems, preferred ELO office

      • Knowledge about Documentation Specification and the related implementation (S1000D)

      • An understanding about certification of flying systems

      • Knowledge about Requirements Management and Requirements Analysis

      • Sound knowledge of technical support for NAEW & C FORCE FLEET would be a plus

      • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite by using it on a daily basis

      • A negotiation level of English is required
