An opening is available for Gas Pipe Welder in the Energy Services Department. Overall duties include, but are not limited to, a variety of tasks relating to the installation and repairs of gas services offered to our customers in accordance with all established company policies, standards and procedures. As Pipe Welder (Gas), employee would be responsible for operating equipment, constructing or installing gas lines, retrieving supplies, driving truck, operating a jack hammer, operating drill, locating lines on the job site and operating a backhoe, among other related duties.

Physical requirements of the job include:

Must have full dexterity of hands; must have ability to operate equipment; must be able to drive a truck; must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 90 pounds; must be able to lift pumps, enter confined spaces; must be able to climb and descend, including, but not limited to ladders, ditches, etc.; bending required as well as the wearing of protective equipment including but not limited to respirator, SCBA, harness, etc., must possess CDL license or be able to obtain CDL license within six months. Must be able to pass API 1104 Welding test within 3 months.

Regular hours of this position are 7:00 a.m. ? 3:30 p.m., Monday ? Friday with some overtime and required stand-by.

Pay Range:

$25.00/hr - $37.00/hr.
