What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interview NPS staff and staff at other federal agencies
- Review and synthesize existing lists of adaptation strategies and scenario planning processes
- Draft adaptation menus
- Create interactive databases or tools for easy access to adaptation menus
- Promote adaptation menus and related databases or tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Recently completed a graduate degree program in relevant fields
- U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident
- Available to participate for 52 weeks
- Interest in climate change adaptation research and application
- Strong communication and writing skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Interest in pursuing a career with a federal land management agency
- Experience in natural resources, natural resources management, or related fields
