- Support customer-focused network projects, including technical planning, execution, and project-related discussions with customers.
- Perform day-to-day network security support, including upgrades, patching, and policy tuning, primarily in Fortinet environments.
- Configure and maintain Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
- Experience with other enterprise networking platforms (such as Cisco or Meraki) will also be considered.
- Conduct network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Document configurations, procedures, and build network diagrams.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated network and security issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance as needed.
- Available for after-hours escalations and change windows.
- Ability to multi-task, pivot quickly, and understand “sense of urgency.”
- Support network-related projects such as firewall refreshes, upgrades, and client onboarding activities.
- Assist with project implementation tasks, including configuration changes, testing, and post-change validation.
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer); experience with Cisco, Meraki, or similar enterprise platforms is also valued.
- Aruba LAN and ClearPass experience would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, VPN).
- Experience with firewall rule management, UTM features, and IPS/IDS.
- Familiarity with centralized management platforms and logging tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working in an MSP or multi-tenant environment is a strong plus
- Fortinet NSE 4/5/6/7 certifications are highly desirable; equivalent networking or security certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, or cloud networking) are an asset.
- Experience with other security platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, WatchGuard, Pfsense, Meraki) is an asset.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a bonus.
- Exposure to cloud networking and security concepts across Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of business and technology processes within enterprise IT environments.
- Proven experience managing and resolving technical escalations in customer-facing or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and enterprise operational best practices.
- Proven experience contributing to process improvement and operational maturity.
- Excellent critical thinking and emotional intelligence skills.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g., LogicMonitor, SolarWinds).
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
