What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and supervise outside plant field construction and splicing operations across multiple locations and states
- Provide technical support for special projects, ensuring compliance with NESC standards and TDS OSP guidelines
- Conduct audits of OSP projects, coaching consultants and contractors for accuracy and consistency
- Manage project documentation, including bid jobs, build orders, and closeout documentation
- Interact with governmental agencies and negotiate with municipalities regarding network protection and asset transfers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree (or higher) OR 2+ years of professional work experience
- 2+ years of experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance
- 2+ years of experience in OSP Construction and/or Engineering or related Utility/Municipal Construction
- Strong understanding of NESC construction practices and engineering standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with fiber optic implementation
- Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS, AGOL, Spatial analysis, or other GIS tools
- Knowledge of Ariba and SAP systems
- Project Management experience
- Familiarity with Fiber to The Home (FTTH) design and construction techniques
