What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Provide Tier 1 support for network incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers
- Support the configuration and operation of tools for network analytics, logging, and reporting
- Help maintain network documentation, including updating topology diagrams and operational procedures
- Support security audits and vulnerability assessments by gathering data and assisting with remediation tasks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance or higher prior to start
- Undergraduate/bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT or network monitoring (e.g., help desk, NOC support)
- Minimum 6 months of experience using network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- CCNA certification
- Basic understanding of U.S. defense or government network compliance requirements
