- BLS Certification
- A minimum of a high school diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement
- Preferred 6 months of experience working in a patient care environment
- Entry level PC or Microsoft Windows knowledge
- Assist Neurodiagnostic Technologist with collecting pertinent patient history information and properly prepares the patient using age specific criteria
- Performs simple recording procedures under the direction and supervision of the neurodiagnostic technologist or supervisor until proficient.
- Follows specific instructions to clean and disinfect the equipment, supplies, and electrodes to provide safe patient care
- Acquires knowledge of digital equipment,, electrical safety and alternate equipment settings and effects to provide a safe patient environment.
- Contributes to the maintenance of department records, billing and patient records.
- Utilizes professional communication skills with other patients, family and co-workers to promote servide of excellence
- Acrively paticipates in conferences, meetings and other education events to expand knowledge of neurodiagnostic testing.
The Neurodiagnostic Assistant is a support position in the Neurodiagnostic department with duties designed to be flexible to meet the needs of the unit. The Neurodiagnostic Assistant aids the technologists by facilitating the workflow of the department.
Work Hours: Full Time; 12 Hour Nights 8:00pm-8:30am/ on call; rotating weekend shifts approximately once every 8-10 weeks.
