- Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.
- Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
- Steer annual audits with Statutory and Internal Auditors. Support Company to be SOX compliant.
- Oversee the Tax compliance in co-ordination with External Consultant, monthly filling of desired returns and assessment.
- Preparing and submitting the Corporate Income Tax return, its appendices, and all legal related items
- Preparing and submitting other tax declarations including Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) declarations
- Calculating the monthly/quarterly tax provisions for closing purposes
- Tax audits management in coordination with Tax Team
- Contributing to the compliance with tax and accounting rules, as well as to any internal audit leading to legal conformity
- May require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for bankers, investors and company’s board of directors.
- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of goals. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant - CIMA, ACA or ACCA
- Significant experience in Finance & Accounting Operations. 5-7 years experience in audit, consolidation, and bookkeeping of a large company.
- Experience of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Work experience in SAP environment
- Experience in Taxation both Direct & Indirect taxation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and responsive skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to steer programs/ projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
Job Description Summary
The New Nuclear business is one of the 4 Steam Power P&Ls. The New Nuclear business includes the nuclear new build business globally and nuclear services businesses outside of the Americas. A binding agreement has been signed with EDF in November 2022 for the potential sales of this business.
