As New Product Development (NPD) Manager, you will be based at our modern Solna office in Stockholm, Sweden from where you will be working closely with our key production sites globally, you will be part of our Fermented team with a focus on our future strategic Gut Health stronghold.

  How you will make an impact

  Your main goal is to develop breakthrough Gut Health products as part of the Fermented NPD team as well as line extensions for our existing Gut Health related brands. As such, you will be leading a large number of development projects of varying size and, with hands on approach, you will drive the activities from start to finish. This position puts you in a unique position to have a major impact on the future success of the organization.

  • Turning concepts into innovative new products in order to give Arla a commercial advantage.
  • Optimizing the cost / value of new and existing products, working closely with global marketing, suppliers, our supply chain and other stakeholders.
  • Leading product and process development projects, including recipe finalization, cost management, quality assurance and legal assessment.
  • Working closely with Brand Managers and colleagues within Fermented dairy to act as a strong and credible technical sparring partner in discussions.
  • Participate in customer-related groups, e.g. product teams, plant meetings, sales, marketing and application related group meetings.
  • Project Management, including being able to provide a clear status of a development project, opportunities, risks and project timeline.

  What will make you successful

  If you hold a degree within Food Science and Technology, Dairy Technology or similar, have a solid understanding of fermented dairy products and minimum 3-5 years of experience in an FMCG environment. You have the exact credentials needed for this key NPD position.

  This means that you are able to think outside of the box in order to develop product solutions to meet the changing market and consumer landscape. If you have been working within the dairy industry or have experience with cultures for fermented gut health products, it will absolutely give you a head start.

  Cross functional project management experience is important as well as being hands on. If you are more interested in project management and less so in hands on tasks, new product development manager will not be a good fit for you. You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) in order to navigate in an international environment.
  

  Finally, you are good at communicating clearly, building personal relations both across organizational levels and externally. In addition, you are equipped with a sound business understanding and are skilled at driving projects from start to finish.
