  SUMMARY

  These opportunities are only for current 2025 New Visions students currently at RGH or Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

  New Vision Students applying to these positions will be paired with a recruiter that can assist candidates in obtaining a per diem Patient Care Technician role within Rochester Regional Health that fits both their interests and can accommodate their scheduling needs while moving forward with their education to meet their goals.

  STATUS: Per Diem, with a minimum hourly requirement of 48 hours worked per quarter

  LOCATION: Newark Wayne Community Hospital, Clifton Springs Hospital, & Rochester General Hospital

  DEPARTMENT: Medical-surgical units

  SCHEDULE: Per system requirements

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Care - Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, facilitating wherever needed. Work with patients in relation to nutrition, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs. Obtain patient vital signs. Will vary by unit.
  • Admission & Discharge - Assist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients. Will vary by unit.
  • Clerical Management - Maintain patient charts as needed, per unit requirements.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

  The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
