      Where you'll be working
      Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.       What you'll be doing
      WSLHD is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Technician Screener to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to early detection and intervention programs that improve long-term outcomes for patients and families across Western Sydney.

      As a Technician Screener, you will be responsible for conducting screening procedures with accuracy and sensitivity, supporting early identification of health concerns in newborn hearing loss and prior to their discharge home. You will conduct Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR) testing with AABR machinery.

      Technician Screeners work autonomously and are willing to cover varied shifts based on newborn births, with no weekday or weekend rostering restrictions. School hours available.

      Selection Criteria:

      1. Experience in working with mothers and newborns.
      2. Positive and enthusiastic manner and able to work independently under direction and seeks guidance and supervision as required
      3. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
      4. Ability to read and write English to an acceptable standard with clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
      5. Ability to work well in a team, enhancing the capability and contribution of the team.
      6. Demonstrated high level computer skills such as IPM & EMR
      7. Valid NSW Drivers Licence
