Lambeth Social Care Academy are opening their recruitment for Newly Qualified Social Workers in the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for Cohort 2024 - 2025.
SO2: £40,005 pa rising in annual increments to £41,286 pa incl LW
The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) ensures that Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) receive consistent support in their first year of practice to become confident, competent, and resilient practitioners. This is open for those who have or will receive their social work qualification prior to September 2024 and wish to be considered for the ASYE programme in Lambeth.
You will join our ASYE Academy with a cohort of up to 20 NQSWs in September 2024 and in addition to the supported offered within your team, you will be supported by one of two dedicated Consultant Social Workers (CSWs) to be your ASYE assessor throughout the year.
The CSWs are non-case-holding, which means you get the direct support through reflective supervision and training alongside your practice supervision from you line manager. The CSW’s will support you to meet the requirements set out in the Professional Capabilities and Post Qualifying Knowledge and Skills frameworks. You will spend the majority of your time on direct work with children, putting your learning into practice in one of the most diverse and complex boroughs in the country.
We have developed an early career pathway for the first 3 years of practice which continues to support your growth and development in the early years of practice. More information is contained in the attached ASYE brochure.
During your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment, you will develop your practice and consolidate your learning within one of the following service areas;
If appointed, upon successful completion of your ASYE you will move into an Social Worker position earning up to £41,967 pa LW
