Job Description
- Req#: R0013228
- Establish relationships with youth, students, and young adults within a designated territory to increase IMB and international missions' awareness.
- Recruit for individual participation from these audiences in prayer support, financial support, and participation in IMB NextGen pathways.
- Connect with alumni from these trips/jobs after their term of service to promote continued involvement in the work. Monthly metrics will be set for activity.
- Research competitor, industry, and denominational trends and challenges which could potentially impact the recruiter's territory and activity.
- Manage communication to a portfolio of contacts; planning travel; data stewardship within the CRM tool; inter-team communication (formal and informal) and on-going professional training and development
- Travel is required throughout the assigned territory for NextGen mobilization events, select national events led by IMB and partners, and other proactive opportunities that arise.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Missions experience serving internationally with IMB
- A passion for mobilizing students for missions. A proven track record of inspiring and equipping students to participate in missions, and will be able to articulate a clear vision for student involvement in global missions
- Knowledge of IMB and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). A solid understanding of the denomination's mission, values, and goals, as well as its organizational structure and key initiatives
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with ability to connect with 18-29-year-olds: high school, college students, and young adults
- Strong computer skills in using Outlook, database software, and communication platforms like Microsoft Teams. Ideal candidate will be able to leverage technology to manage relationships, track progress, and facilitate communication with students, churches, and other stakeholders
- Good organizational and time-management skills are essential, enabling the individual to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity
- Active membership in an SBC church
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time in the southeast region of the US

The NextGen Missions Recruiter will actively navigate their territory and engage youth, students, and young adults to recruit them to serve with IMB missionary teams through IMB NextGen mobilization pathways. The NextGen Missions Recruiter will accomplish this task through proactive 1-to-1 engagement and event-based opportunities. This individual will work alongside the NextGen Mobilization Strategist who serves as the lead point of contact for all matters between IMB and the leaders from churches and student ministries.
Location: Must live in the Southeast Region of the US
