What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage case files, ensuring organization and compliance with Michigan No-Fault timelines
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions for litigation
- Conduct legal research on Michigan statutes and insurance regulations relevant to No-Fault claims
- Review and summarize medical records and billing statements for PIP benefits
- Serve as a liaison among attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of paralegal experience, or a paralegal certificate (ABA-approved preferred) and at least 2 years of paralegal experience
- Demonstrated experience as a paralegal in insurance defense or civil litigation, particularly with Michigan No-Fault Liability cases
- Strong understanding of legal procedures including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court filings
- Exceptional organizational and calendar management skills with attention to deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and client correspondence
