- Plan, prepare, supervise, implement, and evaluate programs.
- Ensure the safety of children and staff.
- Develop and manage operating budget based on enrollment.
- Plan, supervise, and implement programs according to YMCA policies and philosophies.
- Assist in direct supervision of children to maintain mandated ratios.
- Recruit, interview, hire, orient, and train paid and volunteer staff.
- Supervise and evaluate staff and volunteers at the Child Care Site.
- Conduct staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community.
- Organize and maintain Parent Advisory Committee and fundraisers.
- Promote the program, manage customer service, and conduct program tours for visitors.
- Manage family billing to ensure accuracy and timely fee collection.
- Maintain the site's environment and learning space.
- Attend trainings to stay current on Child Care issues.
- Follow safety regulations and YMCA and school policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The YMCA of Orange County is looking to hire a Child and Youth Development Director responsible for the overall leadership of a Child and Youth Development site. This includes staff recruitment, hiring and supervision, daily schedule and curriculum, marketing and enrollment, parent and school relations, facility maintenance, risk management, fiscal accounting, and licensing compliance. This is a full-time position, typically working Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Qualifications
Supervisory Duties: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff; planning and directing work; coaching; resolving issues.
Education & Certification: Options include high school diploma with EMSA First Aid & CPR, or college degrees in related fields, or a Child Development Site Supervisor or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience & Background: Must be at least 21 years old, with 1-4 years of experience working with children, supervision experience, and completion of health practices training, depending on licensing option.
