What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute, chronic complaints, and health maintenance concerns related to specialty
- Obtain complete histories and perform physical exams on new and return patients
- Administer medications according to the formulary protocol
- Order and collect specimens for laboratory tests and therapeutic procedures
- Facilitate the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college or university
- Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
- PA - Physician Assistant State Licensure
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- DEA - Drug Enforcement Administration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting
