      Job Description:

      The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers. The program coincides with the unit you are hired into.

      Education Qualifications:

      Overview:

      • Target audience: Newly licensed nurses or soon to be RNs with less than 1 year of experience.

      • Goal: To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development.

      • Length: 1 year program

      • Shifts: 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability)

      Eligibility:

      • Current nursing student OR

      • Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program OR

      • Starting first RN position with Essentia Health within one year of graduation.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Nursing license in state of employment.

      • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

      Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

      Highlights:

      • RN Hiring Incentive Eligible Position: Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for ADNs and up to $10,000 for BSNs

      • NCLEX Prep Course available upon hire

      • 1:1 Coaching Guidance through first year starting at time of hire
