Job Description

- Plan, design, and implement Nutanix clusters based on business and application needs.
- Install and configure Nutanix AOS (Acropolis Operating System) for hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Deploy and manage Nutanix AHV.
- Configure and optimize Nutanix storage solutions (NDFS, Nutanix Files, Objects, Volumes) for efficient data management.
- Create and manage Virtual Machines (VMs), VM templates, snapshots, and clones within the Nutanix environment.
- Optimize VM placement, resource allocation, and performance tuning to meet business SLAs.
- Troubleshoot VM performance issues, storage bottlenecks, and networking problems in virtualized workloads.
- Implement high availability (HA), load balancing, and failover strategies for critical workloads
- Utilize Nutanix Prism Central to monitor system health, performance, and capacity utilization.
- Analyze and resolve storage, compute, and network latency issues affecting Nutanix clusters.
- Implement alerting mechanisms and log analysis to proactively detect failures and performance degradations.
- Work closely with application teams to optimize VM configurations and resolve performance issues.
- Plan and execute AOS, AHV, Prism, and firmware upgrades with minimal downtime.
- Ensure hypervisor compatibility with Nutanix software releases.
- Perform security hardening and compliance checks to protect against vulnerabilities.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for secure Nutanix administration.
- Design and configure backup strategies using Nutanix Mine, Cohesity, or Commvault.
- Implement Nutanix Leap (Disaster Recovery as a Service - DRaaS) for failover and recovery.
- Perform regular DR drills and validate business continuity plans.
- Migration of on-premises workloads to Nutanix HCI.
- Integration of Nutanix with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implementing multi-site replication and DR solutions.
