What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, integrate, and implement Occupational Therapy within the Home-Based Primary Care Program
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional status and rehabilitation needs
- Provide clinical services to veterans in their homes and utilize telehealth when appropriate
- Assist in updating and maintaining Occupational Therapy policies and procedures
- Document treatment plans and progress in compliance with policy and standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Current NBCOT certification and a full, unrestricted state license to practice occupational therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Geriatrics, Primary Care, and/or Home Care preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in multidisciplinary environments
- Certification in an area recognized by the AOTA
- Completion of a fellowship/residency or advanced degree in the advanced practice area
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary occupational therapy practices
- Ability to provide clinical guidance to other OT practitioners
