- Job Title: Offshore Chemist
- Job Location: Offshore Aberdeen
- Hours: 2 weeks on 3 weeks off

- Demonstrate compliance to all test methods, procedures and quality systems essential criteria essential for best practices.
- Liaise with line manager/ on shore support/ if a problem with equipment, methods or samples occurs and initiate corrective actions to ensure continuity of service.
- Identify and implement improvements to current laboratory operations in order to maximise equipment availability, ensure technical standards are maintained and improved thus ensuring profitability.
- Ensure adequate stock of consumables to ensure continuous productivity.
- Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and safe/ suitable for use.
- Completion of daily, weekly and monthly routine sampling, analysis and reporting as per client procedures.
- Liaison with SGS lab onshore support.
- Maintain organised and auditable systems of work to permit traceability and ensure compliance.
- Delivery of agreed analysis to timescales and cost to enable fulfilment of contractual KPI’s and maximise profitability.
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of laboratory and analytical techniques and equipment to promote continuous improvement and provision of quality service to client.
- Resolution of enquiries in a timely and effective manner to ensure consistency of service delivery and agreed contractual obligations.
- Provision of reports to line manager/ onshore support/ to assist in service, standards and delivery.
- Experience of Off-shore Oil Industry related analysis encompassing a broad spectrum of methods and analysis to meet exacting process and client demands.
- Valid Medical/BOSIET/MIST
- HNC level in chemistry or related science based subject, or equivalent.
- Off-shore medical certificate.
- Off-shore survival certificate.
- MIST On line Training
- Preparation of laboratory techniques and documentation.
- Knowledge and experience of process management and chemical optimisation.

We are currently seeking a Offshore Chemist to join the team in Aberdeen. as a Offshore chemist you will be responsible to perform sampling and analysis to recognised international methods and documented procedures and the preparation of reports. Deliver consistently high standards of analytical performance and ensure smooth and continued operation of platform laboratory.
