      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Analyze pathology reports and ICD-10 patient lists to determine case eligibility and flag cases for the suspense system
      - Abstract patient information required for state and national reporting and code the information in the electronic database
      - Accurately enter required patient information to meet data standards for the National Cancer Data Base and NC Central Cancer Registry
      - Review monthly edit reports and resolve any coding issues for compliance
      - Update patient records for follow-up rates and review patient death information to determine status and cause of death

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
      - 3-5 years of experience in Cancer Registry, Medical Records, Nursing, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Public Health, or Research
      - Licensure/Certification in ODS required
      - Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and oncology standards of care
      - Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and external facilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with Electronic Registry Systems and working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
