What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain the cancer database including case finding, case analysis, abstracting, follow-up, and data submission
- Contribute to the development of criteria to assess data accuracy and run quality assessment reports
- Assist with system upgrades and data edits for National Cancer Database submissions
- Participate in Cancer Committee meetings and support tumor board reporting
- Train new Data Analysts on case-finding, abstracting, and documentation processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in cancer registry management (CRM) or cancer information management (CIM) from an NCRA-accredited program, or a related field with a CRM or CIM certificate
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in data entry
- Certification as a Tumor Registrar (CTR) from the National Cancer Registrars Association
- Completion of two semesters of Human Anatomy and Physiology
