What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify reportable cancer cases from various sources
- Accurately abstract reportable cases in compliance with standards
- Obtain additional treatment data from primary sources for accurate reporting
- Conduct follow-up activities with patients diagnosed with cancer
- Adhere to guidelines established by the employer
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or a related allied health field
- Experience in oncology data services is preferred
- Successful completion of Anatomy & Physiology courses
- Relevant work experience in a healthcare setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in oncology data services
- Familiarity with case finding and abstracting procedures
