      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Extrapolate detailed cancer data from medical records and complete quality-focused case abstracts with 98% accuracy
      - Meet activity-based productivity benchmarks in compliance with regulatory and departmental requirements
      - Identify and accession reportable cancer and benign CNS tumors diagnosed within the health system
      - Conduct annual reviews of completed cases to assess subsequent cancer treatments provided by the health system
      - Participate in quality assurance reviews of tumor registry work and assigned abstracts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum educational requirement: Associate’s degree or 60 hours of college-level coursework in a health-related field
      - Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification to be obtained within 3 years of hire
      - Minimum 1 year of experience in cancer registry or a related remote position
      - Strong knowledge of national and specialized cancer coding and classification systems
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and effective communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
      - Familiarity with coding and classification systems including STORE, ICD-O, SEER, AJCC, and others
      - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively
      - Previous experience in quality assurance reviews within a healthcare setting
