      We are hiring an Online Reputation Management Specialist-Remote.

      The Online Reputation Management Specialist is responsible for reputation management across social media platforms and online forums for our brands (e.g., Intoxalock). The role manages brand reputation by monitoring digital conversations, responding to customer challenges, cleaning up online presence and developing KPIs that support SEO optimization. Your goal is to build a strong and positive presence online that reflects the company's mission and values, bring your moderator skills. This role has no direct reports.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. Assist in developing a comprehensive strategic reputation management plan focused on auditing brand online presence, implementing targeted online cleanup efforts and promoting positive content to build sustainable trust and positive sentiment.

      2. Monitor social media channels, review platforms and online forums daily to identify and assess brand mentions, customer feedback and potential reputation risks.

      3. Collaborate closely with customer service, marketing, legal, compliance and communication teams to align messaging and ensure brand consistency.

      4. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, complaints and reviews, escalating issues as appropriate.

      5. Assist in developing and maintaining response matrix protocols for various scenarios and their appropriate escalation paths.

      6. Develop KPIs and analyze sentiment trends and prepare regular reports highlighting key issues, emerging risks and reputation performance metrics.

      7. Build positive relationships with online communities by engaging thoughtfully with users and fostering a supportive brand presence.

      8. Stay updated on best practices in reputation management, social media trends, and platform algorithm changes.

      9. Support proactive social listening efforts to detect early warning signs of crises or reputational threats and assist in crisis communications by providing real-time monitoring.

      10. Help craft timely, strategic responses for online crisis communications response as needed.

      Job Requirements:

      1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

      2. 2-5 years of experience managing social media accounts, with a focus on reputation management moderating social media and online forums.

      3. Deep understanding of internet culture, social media and online forums (e.g., Reddit) and how they influence reputation management.

      4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for balancing brand voice and empathy.

      5. Familiarity with social listening and monitoring tools (e.g., Meltwater, Sprout Social, etc.).

      6. Experience working with cross-functional teams and navigating sensitive or complex public issues.

      7. Ability to think critically, stay calm under pressure and respond quickly and thoughtfully.

      8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, especially during high-volume or crisis periods.

      9. Background in social media management, crisis communications or public relations.

      10. Basic knowledge of SEO and digital content optimization.

      11. Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., public safety) is preferred.
