What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide one-on-one academic support to students, enhancing their skills in coursework
- Engage students with effective tutoring strategies, including active listening and encouragement
- Support students in developing study skills such as organization and time management
- Troubleshoot academic technology issues and provide necessary support
- Document session notes in a learning management system and offer feedback on curriculum updates
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science-related program from a regionally accredited institution
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience within the past 5 years
- Proficiency in key programming languages including Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML/CSS basics
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students and foster a supportive learning environment
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Git/GitHub and Visual Studio
- Experience with debugging tools and strategies
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced, 5-week accelerated course environment
