Job summary
An exciting 12-month fixed Term opportunity has arisen to support the Westminster South Community Mental Health Hub (CMHH) pilot project implementing Open Dialogue in the community.
Open Dialogue is a family-systemic oriented approach to mental health care which seeks to be inclusive of the people important to the person at the centre of concern throughout their care. The Pilot will attempt to answer the issues raised about the feasibility of implementing and scaling Open Dialogue within an NHS setting.
There will be three key interventions used in this pilot
The pilot will initially run for eighteen months. It will be evaluated looking at a range of outcome measures for service users and carers, as well as looking at staff experience and satisfaction.
We are looking for a candidate with robust clinical expertise who is able to demonstrate progressive skills in leadership and service development. The primary criteria is that the candidate has trained in Open Dialogue or is currently in training.
The post is open to registered mental health nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists.
Main duties of the job
To be you and to do what you do best in the job you love!
The successful applicant will support Open Dialogue implementation on a 12-month Fixed Term basis and help to guide the team/service towards a 'high trust culture', where clinicians and practitioners are respected for their skills and service users and those closest to them are recognised as knowledgeable about their lives and what may be helpful. This will involve supporting continued team learning and development of Open Dialogue knowledge and skills, carrying a small caseload of service users interested in Open Dialogue, participating in Open Dialogue Intervision groups, and offering traditional supervision and line management support to staff. You will also be expected to work in collaboration with the Operational Team Manager, Clinical Leads/Senior Practitioners and to have close working relationships with the Inpatient Service and HTT.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

About the company
National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
