As an Operations Manager of Central Flow, you will have the opportunity to manage and develop a team of 200+ Managers and (PCS) Process Control Specialists who are tasked with the most analytical and impactful function of running Outbound Flow for Fulfillment Centers across Amazon.
This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution. In the job you will be required to exercise superior analytical and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrate strong people leadership. You will be expected to partner with senior leaders across the organization to support key services provided by Central Flow and drive continuous improvement to network goals. You will also work with cross functional teams in developing tools, standards and best practices that will support and shape the future of Outbound processes in Europe and across the globe. You are expected to have a steep learning curve in learning tools and processes to become a subject matter expert in flow management.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of up to 5 Area Managers L4+
• Remove barriers for Central Flow AMs and Process Control Specialists by developing tools and automate manual business processes.
• Communicate policies and act as the primary information source for the Team, maintaining compliance and consistency.
• Strong people leader with the ability to develop the Central Flow team and engage them in Amazon’s policies and procedures.
• Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality.
• Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
• Create, manage and support recognition and communication programs.
• Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
• Deliver a flawless service to both internal and external customers through understanding their core needs and measuring operating effectiveness with Key Performance Metrics.
• Through your team of Area Managers and partner SMEs and BI-Analysts, lead the development and implementation of EU process standards to drive continuous improvement for new and existing FCs.
• Mentor and support development for Central Flow leaders and specialists, driving programs that are inclusive and engaging for the full organization.
• Support real-time problem solving for FCs requiring support and data analysis and action planning for weekly business reviews.
• Development of global partnerships to ensure worldwide alignment on process best practices, lessons learned, and forward looking roadmaps.
• Independently manage a portfolio of large projects and programs from concept to full implementation, including business critical needs like recruiting, on boarding, and training.
• Partner with program and tech teams to assist with scoping, design and integration of technology changes in Fulfillment Centers across EU.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Tilbury, GBR- University degree in management, technologies, logistics or similar.
- Operations team leadership experience (manufacturing, production or distribution environments), in a similar fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviors through exceptional people skills and leadership.
- Ability to problem solve with strong analytical skills, end to end process management and track record of successfully delivering quantifiable results.
- Ability to partner and influence across cross-functional teams to deliver changes and improvements.
- Flow systems understanding at expert level (Autosort, Euler, OSP, AutoFlow visualizer, Flow configurations).
- The ability to dive deep into data and provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
- English language level C2.- Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
- Adept at analytical work and the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment
- Practiced working knowledge of Six Sigma tools (preferred Black Belt qualified) and Lean techniques.
- Solid Operation Background, Amazon Preferred.
