      If you are a forward-thinker interested in fostering a dynamic and supportive environment, then keep reading! We are searching for a result-oriented Operations Manager to join the Freight Tech team at Vantage Elevation.

      About Us

      Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. The Vantage Group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.

      The Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of IUEC field employees for Freight Tech, Vantage’s IUEC (International Union of Elevator Constructors) Local 1 signatory which installs and repairs freight elevators.

      Requirements

      We are searching for a candidate with:

      • Three (3) years’ work experience in operations, project management, field supervision, or a similar role in the elevator industry.
      • An ability to prepare schedules and step-by-step action plan, including procuring materials and directing labor.
      • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
      • Self-motivated, with strong client-facing and teamwork skills.


      Duties and Responsibilities

      A typical day may include:

      • Management of the IUEC workforce, including hiring, training, implementation of safety and other training programs.
      • Daily management of the workforce including project installation work, repair work, and service call response.
      • Monitor and ensure that labor work hours are within budget and on schedule for all projects.
      • Conduct project surveys to define and set project scope and prepare labor estimates to meet such scope of work.
      • Coordinate project schedules being sure labor, and materials are deployed to meet customer and company requirements.
      • Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, costs, scope, and objectives.
      • Ensuring that clients’ needs are met in a timely manner.
      • Ensuring Freight-Tech’s sales and profit objectives are met.
      • Develop and implement various product quality controls and provide quality and technical feedback to Courion and other Vantage Companies about product issues and suggested improvements.
      • Ensuring all work rules and processes are compliant with both Vantage and IUEC labor rules.
      • Overseeing and ensuring that all Safety Rules and Requirements are met and followed by all Freight Tech employees.
      • Direct interface with Vantage salesforce and its customers to promote, the sales of Freight Tech labor and Courion products, when applicable. And, indirectly to support the cross-selling activities of all the Vantage brands, present and future.
      • Developing relationships with all Contractors and Consultants in the NYC area with a minimum of 3 on site visits and 15 customer calls per month

      Position Details

      • Full time
      • Day shifts, generally 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
      • Based in the greater New York City area
