Job Description

- Develop and implement warehouse strategies to optimize productivity, reduce costs and meet the goals of the organization
- Collaborating with senior and executive management to align the operations with the overall business objectives
- Coach a team of highly motivated associates and provide daily feedback on performance and propose solutions to ensure a high performing, cohesive team
- Ability to define and communicate to your team the daily objectives, long-term strategies, and changes in procedural processes
- Effectively work with peers on people development and building cross-functional teams
- Flexibility to work various shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to maintain quality and accuracy of customer orders and products
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, federal, state and company policies
- Utilizing warehouse management systems to increase efficiency of day to day processes
- Establish key performance metrics to measure and improve warehouse performance
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement the corrective actions
- Collaborating with suppliers, 3PL operations, transportation, and internal customers on the best possible solution for the business and company initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- Must have at least six (6) years of Distribution related experience
- Supervisory experience of large team sizes – 300+ employees – hourly and salaried leadership
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems such as but not limited to: Voice recognition technology (VoCollect), Employee Management systems (Dayforce/Ceridian), WIMS,E-mail, Voice mail etc
- Days and shift based on business needs
- Warehouse Grocery – approx. 50F – 90F
- Warehouse Perishable – approx. 26F - 60F
- Warehouse Freezer – approx. 0F - -20F
- Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
- Physical abilities : May be required to lift up to 75lbs.; the ability to operate required facility equipment
- Strong communication Skills: Ability to provide & receive constructive feedback; communication of expectations and directions clearly
- Building a team based environment: Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team-building skills; inclusive decision making
- Project Management: Results driven regarding implemented KPI’s/Metrics; willingness to participate in continuous improvement projects; managing multiple deadline based projects
- Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
