- Take an active role in the development and embedding of the PCNs culture, values and reputation as providers of high-quality services.
- Work with and support the clinical director and leadership team to develop & deliver the strategic plans, service delivery and contract performance requirements.
- Be the first point of contact for practice managers and commissioners in regard to PCN operations.
- Provide line management to all employed staff, to ensure that they are appropriately embedded in and co-ordinated across the practices.
- Support the short and long-term financial management of the network.
- Work with the clinical director to implement ARRS funded roles and with the practice members on the planning and deployment of these roles.
- Responsible for information, data and IT plan in conjunction with the digital transformation lead.
- Co-ordinate public relations and be the press officer on behalf of the PCN.
- Educated to bachelors degree level, or equivalent experience.
- Experience of working in primary care within a management role.
- Experience of working in a role that requires a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience of managing employees.
- Experience of project management and change management.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Good IT skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills & team working skills.
- Ability to travel to all sites in the PCN.
- Flexible and adaptable to team and service needs.

Job summary
Colne Valley Primary Care Network is looking to appoint an experienced operations manager to lead our organisation,on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week (days and times negotiable).

About us
The Colne Valley Primary Care Network is a collaboration of six GP practices serving approximately 54,000 patients, from the Kelvedon, Finchingfield, Halstead, Earls Colne, Coggeshall, and Hedingham areas.
We offer a range of benefits including the NHS pension scheme, remote working where appropriate and minimum 33 days annual leave FTE.
Manage and monitor contractual requirements on behalf of the PCN including the provision of performance and management data as requested to NHSE, NHS Digital and ICB.
Co-ordinate intra-practice communications within the PCN, liaise with key partners in the development and monitoring of services and projects including ICB- NHS England and Patient Participation Groups (PPGs).
