  Operations Manager - Stagecoach Bus / Transport

  South West, Exeter

  What will you be doing as an Operations Manager?

  • Leading your colleagues to deliver a safe, efficient and effective transport service to the incredible Exeter community.
  • Engage your colleagues and develop a close and constructive partnership with engineering and commercial departments.
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure Safe Systems of Work are adhered to.
  • Oversee thorough training of drivers in transportation safety and compliance.
  • Oversee management of HR processes – RTW’s, formal Investigations, disciplinaries etc.
  • Oversee management of driver performance to achieve high standards of customer service, ensuring a high level of NPS / Happy Customer score is achieved.
  • Ensure all relevant information is recorded for transport KPIs.
  • Help to Manage driver hours in line with working time legislation.
  • Vehicle and driver records are managed in line with relevant legislation in preparation for transport audits.
  • Investigate driver incident reports.
  • Undertake investigations as and when required.
  • Actively promote and manage good health and safety practices within the working environment.

  Relevant skills and experience required:

  • Experience as an Operations Manager
  • PC literate with good knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to lead a team effectively
  • Able to delegate tasks effectively
  • Self-motivated to work as an individual when required
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
